#KDI-women's group, KAMPALA PROJECT #2
Olivia, Remmy, Ruth, Night and Winnie are the five members of this women's group I'm going to work with next couple of months. They work and live at the KSPH, Kampala school for physically handicapped. They too, have physical disabilities, but the wheelchairs haven't stopped them from becoming really good tailors!
Our assignment is to create a portfolio of products under their brand KDI, Kampala Disabled Initiatives. Check out their Facebook page. We mainly sew our products from African cotton fabric kitenge. Our goal is to open a shop, where you can buy KDI products directly from these ladies. The portfolio is also a part of the future plan of finding retailers for the products and maybe even, one day, opening an internet-shop.
